This is a photo I took at North Cascades National Park from a camping trip I went on with some buddies earlier this year. Two nights before this picture was taken, lightning struck a tree and started a forest fire in the middle of the night a mile or two from our campsite. 

The next day we spent a lot of the day watching them fight the fire with helicopters & planes, scooping up water from this lake and dumping it on the fire - this was insanely cool to watch. The fire was mostly extinguished when I took this shot but you can still see a lot the remnant smoke.
