Oh, mighty cannon, grand and bold,
Whose booming wrath made foes unfold!
Not shot nor shell, but HAM it hurled—
A meaty doom upon the world!
The battle raged, the sky grew dim,
Yet hams flew forth—both thick and slim!
One final blast, one final feast,
And thus was felled the warring beast.
Now it sleeps, its duty done,
No more pork-flung battles won.
A relic grand, in peace it stands,
No longer hurling ham to hands.
