The South Korean government has issued a suspension notice to Upbit, the largest cryptocurrency exchange in the country, for allegedly violating anti-money laundering obligations related to KYC. Upbit may face a suspension of up to 6 months, during which new customer registrations will be restricted, but existing user transactions will not be affected. The final decision will be made on the 21st.
