The American payment company PayPal launched its own stablecoin PayPal USD on the Solana blockchain. Bloomberg reports this. The head of blockchain and digital currencies at PayPal, Jose Fernandez da Ponte, noted that his company was attracted by the low transaction fees and high speed of the Solana blockchain.
