One of the reasons I post so much Porsche content is that the flat 6 engine, the heart of these cars (some newer ones have 4 cylinders) is truly special. Here, you can see just how flat the engines really are. This configuration brings the center of gravity down, leading to superb handling. Very few other cars feature flat engines.

It because of how the cylinder head is designed. 
Porsche does make amazing cars!!!
