You can just connect your ledger wallet (add hardware wallet) to metamask and use it on any chain. It works the same way - asks for confirmation on ledger and etc.

funny though if I click on the account, select it and press continue (ignoring the not supported message) it lets me connect 

then everything works as normal. so probably just weird UI on their site?
