According to Bloomberg, an expert committee that advises Norwegian politicians has stated that although the country has one of the lowest cash usage rates in the world, it is currently not in a hurry to adopt a central bank issued digital currency (CBDC). The committee believes that cash still plays an important role in ensuring safe and simple payments for everyone. However, it suggests that necessary regulatory reforms should be initiated in order to potentially introduce significant CBDCs in the future. @tiffatronn
