This is a 1 IQ take and probably obvious to most people here. But I think I this is worth stating.

I’ve come to believe that obvious statements are worth stating, because:

- what’s obvious to you is often not obvious to others
- the same statement can mean different things to the same person at different times, based on the context they’re in at that moment

Agree. 

“Obviousness” has been a recurring theme on my mind this year. 

Obviousness is almost a cruel disguise. Things that sound obvious may not hit the same way something interesting does, but often carry very deep and real truth.

That's what makes books rereadable and interpretable. We can read the same passage and get wildly different bits of information from it.
