i am theorizing that there are three classes of products in crypto. 1. real world crypto: upgrading existing systems, institutions, products to be internet native and crypto native. this is stuff like defi, stablecoins, rwas, payments, depin 2. new world crypto: new behaviors or systems created for the internet era. memecoins and daos and nfts and such. 3. the plumbing and infra for both of the above

agree with six here, you may or may not be able to solve all these problems we have in #1 with #2 it’s surely fun to look into and push #2 but the point is for some of it to make it into #1

i would reject that that's the "point" or the implication that 1 is hierarchically superior to 2 i do think 2 comes more naturally to the free market and 1 is still searching for pmf with the exception of stablecoins.

I think 1 is just overregulated and ran by people who cannot change it with the economies working like they are and also unable due to lack of knowledge, imagination, guts and mindset in general
