what makes you say that? honestly don't think that's the case. 

i think gaias had quite poor comms and and expectation management around reveal timing and schedule, but i don't believe it was a malicious scam/grift at all.

it was a free mint that has appreciated wildly, recently paired with a token airdrop that has also appreciated wildly. i see this as value creation, i don't really get how it reads as value extraction/scam/grift. 

also anton the artist is doxxed, highly reputation in the art world, etc. ciniz being a grifter would mean anton is also a grifter, which i am prob even more doubtful of

to be fair, this is not to justify scams by saying if price has gone up they aren't scams. obviously there are lots of scams in crypto where price goes up

just don't think gaias/ciniz is one

yea i agree all those things happened but tbh, just did not draw the same conclusions. i think if gaias straight up rugged, or delivered something very different from what was initially suggested, that would be a scam/grift. 

to the extent that they haven't delivered anything yet, but do appear to actively be working on it (e.g. i see the reveals coming in and they are very impressive, and i've participated in public playtests of the game, so i know it's real/happening), my conclusion is that its just taking much longer to deliver stuff than they expected, and am chalking up the concerns to poor but not malicious comms during the farcaster "bear"

it's possible that ends up being naive optimism on my end. if it does all end up being an elaborate grift, then i'll lose money, but i'm making a bet that's not the case

i'm going off of the continuous, empty hype posting prior to reveal (reveal took...how many months?) alongside the empty (and ridiculous) promise of "autonomous, on-chain agents" (wtf does that even mean?!) and then totally abandoning Farcaster once farming $DEGEN was no longer highly profitable...

that was enough for me to dump my 3 and never look back 🤷‍♂️
