humans as a collective are now better than ever before (by insanely big margins) at sourcing and verifying truth

pls don't fall for the psyop perpetuated by outdated, centralized institutions that you can't possibly trust the internet as a source of truth

My point is not that it’s impossible, it’s that most people don’t do it and less and less people will do it over time - I did say this makes it an advantage for those who do try to see reality clearly

I don't think the rate of ppl seeking truth is changing at all

people act like we used to live in some golden age of truth seeking decades ago, but people have always believed what they wanted to believe because human psychology is programmed for cognitive dissonance

nothing has changed except that the people that actually want to seek out truth now have the tools to do it on their own + publish their findings via the internet 

it's awesome, but it threatens the status quo, so you get this FUD strategy to convince everyone that things were better when only the "experts" had the megaphone
