Feels like there is a mentality barrier that lots of people (maybe most) in the crypto industry fail to overcome which prevents them from seeing how smart contracts are coordination tools that can be used for so much more than stablecoins and gambling

idk if this is a subcast but my post was less about what they /can/ be used for and what they /will/ be used for at-scale

I also think the actual impactful coordination function of crypto has just been accomplished by the market as the ultimate Coordinator and less any utility of smart contracts outside of facilitating market activity

Lately I just see a dislocation between what will happen and what can happen/i desire to happen, as I try to follow the incentives (in this case, the actors in power like US govt, CB, who seem to aggressively be pushing stablecoins)
