Fwiw I think “you can’t change culture” is different from “culture is static/can’t be changed” I.e. I’m not sure culture can be changed top down as a result Merkle policy/product decisions, it changes in ways that are more organic and emergent and the result of repeated interaction with reality

That said I do think culture can be changed by individuals. I think proxy shipping clanker changed Farcaster culture. But it changed as the organic result of him launching something that resonated, not as him saying “how do I change Farcaster culture”

@0xen
proxy joined because of degen, which was downstream of us demanding a degen channel, and then eventually jacek creating $degen. This was a massive cultural change from early farcaster which was totally against speculation. every third post early on was ‘ so glad this place is a safe place from ct and speculation’

we can discuss broadly if proxy is an institution and not an individual. https://warpcast.com/leaolmos.eth/0x6218c9aa
