Memecoins have really taken a beating. Lots of the big ones down 50+%. Do we think these see ATHs again? Seems like a rotational market.

We prob need to retire the word memecoins/memes in this context. Animals coins different from ai coins different from clankers different from whatever else. The word no longer has a cohesive definition

Well I’m trying to distinguish it from the alts that are also “coins” but they launch at high FDVs, are VC backed etc.

"ai coins" needs a word that captures their bootstrapping mechanism

hyperstition, manifestation, etc.

Every coin starts as a memecoin. Even and especially bitcoin. And USD… and…

Memes category is still useful in defining the volatility profile of a coin, esp. coupled with market cap
