one longevity discourse reframing (i think from jacob) that helped me was that people online overindex on immortality/avoiding death as opposed to just increasing lifespan, eg to 150 or 200 years

I wonder how much perception of life extension would improve if we used live “forlonger” instead of “forever” 

Few want to live forever but I’d imagine most would want to live for longer

It’s certainly less hubristic.  No one really objects to a longer healthier life.  

People have the idea that seeking immortality taunts the gods.
