i'd say i'm probably against the crypto reserve even if i'm happy to benefit from it like why should the US government purchase these coins? any answer for where the money comes from is also not really enjoyable

countries have always been stacking things other reserve types are: fx reserves natgas & coal reserves grain & food reserves water reserves rare earth stockpiles pharma reserves sovereign wealth funds military stockpiles (ammo, fuel, gear)

sovereign wealth fund is a bit different from the rest of your examples i see the case for a btc reserve, it's harder for me to see the case for stacking these other coins -- turns it less into a reserve and more into an investment fund imo

i see the way i see it is by bringing them into the reserve, it elevates their status and protects vested interests of its founders/investors, preserving the crypto status quo of a rich and varied but largely useless ecosystem could ofc be just to kick the can down the road another 4 years while more of them die natural deaths
