Purple’s goal is to proliferate and expand the Farcaster protocol and ecosystem.

No hard feelings at all but I want to field an open thread about Purple Prop 49

What could the strategy group have done better to persuade more voters? I know everyone is busy but we gave multiple chances for folks to voice their opinions and am seeing many last minute comments with concerns we’ve already addressed!

Not involved in purple but one lesson from nouns is that DAOs should treat onchain as the only source of truth. Offchain discussions basically irrelevant to gauging vibes on a proposal bc attention is scarce

Maybe this will be easier if/when we move to a L2, because right now I've been able to see both sides of it:

- taking action and seeing how people feel, but also
- presenting information to talk through decisions before you vote on something(somewhat akin to election campaigns/debates/town halls)

Yeah the latter are still important to have, just can’t *rely* on them for gauging consensus
