like why should the US government purchase these coins? any answer for where the money comes from is also not really enjoyable

isn't bitcoin the only thing designed for that? feel like everything else does not really function as an inflation hedge but rather as a bet on their respective smart contract platforms. which, maybe eth does outperform btc long term, but it's a different "mandate" than digital gold

at that point its less of a strategic reserve and more of an sovereign investment fund
