STARFIELD thoughts:

+ story picks up after mission 6
+ 19 story missions total
+ the twists aren’t super predictable, there’s some surprises 
+ combat both space and on planet can be fun
+ I liked visiting outposts, cities, and various alien life / ai feels lived in
+ side quests are pretty engaging too

Things I don’t like:

- lots of loading screens
- clunky navigation when looking at your starmap 
- certain dialogue choices seem random or hard to discern tone/intent

Immediate tips:

+ If you want to fly better ships, put your stats into social skills and tech / sci 

+ combat bonuses are good but crafting weapons/meds/food, building outposts, and crew recruitment seem like far better outcomes for gameplay enjoyment

Nice tidbits:

+ you can get near godtier gear and weapons with a secret outpost side quest 

+ you have opportunities to commandeer and receive dope ships without spending credits

+ if you have wanted as one of your traits you can attract a lot of ships that way

Overall it’s an 8/10

Once I get there I’ll let ya know

Still not at NG+ I’m 2 missions away from beating the game 

I’ve amassed credits and resources to upgrade my ship’s capabilities and weapons so I’m not getting melted from a shit ton of lasers (you can get caught lacking out in space lmfao)

Now I’m in a good place to beat the campaign.

Once I figured out the skill tree system and how to best utilize my credits and resources, crafting is pretty rewarding now. 

This game would be a 10/10 if they had the following:

+ simpler UI to translate skill tree to rewards 
+ pathing to builds for plug and play
+ the ability to craft ammo lmfao 
+ stat roll rng

questlines feel a little too on-the-rails/grindy. otoh, ending is not bad as far as bethesda goes. just wished there was more optionality at numerous points in the game. ~7/10
