Folks are weird because they only assign masculinity to a very particular set of physical characteristics. To folks like the OP, they are very limited in their understanding of masculinity and it prevents them from finding inspiration in what people might call “the unlikeliest of people.”

That’s unfortunately how they keep people roped in / if cities didnt have bullshit like “you can’t collect your own rainwater” for example we might be okay. 

You have to really get creative to sideskirt things OR buy enough land that you can register it as an unincorporated town and set up your own shit 

Either way it’s annoying to just be and decide to interact with “society” when you want

Problem is you need a fuckton of subsidies and government intervention for rural life to actually be attainable, rural infrastructure would collapse other wise
