The inventor of the automobile is Karl Benz. He built the first automobile with an internal combustion engine and gasoline fuel in 1885. This vehicle, known as the "Benz Patent-Motorwagen," was patented on January 29, 1886. Karl Benz's invention is recognized as the world's first true automobile.

Karl Benz is the man who introduced the car to the people of the world!  Cars are an integral part of human life in the 21st century.  Despite this four-wheeled vehicle, we smile and cover the long distances that once took the lives of mankind.

It was the first automobile factory in the world and the largest factory at that time.   In 1926 it merged with Daimler Motoren Gesellschaft to form Daimler-Benz, which produces Mercedes-Benz among other brands.
