Here is a fun question I stumble upon fairly recently: Should a protocol and its hero app have the same brand?

Pro: Looks like a Family
Contract: The App is seen as a first class citizen

I'd go for an arch brand and have two subbrands.

For me as a third party "builder" I do would prefer protocol and product would not be tied so closely? But I get all the reasoning for both sides, that why i like the question.
