I don't know why, but this old TV series just came to mind. an aspiring lawyer and former con artist who becomes the egocentric criminal-defense attorney. Breaking Bad Prequel Saul Goodman is portrayed as a complex and multi-layered character who, despite all his mistakes and wrong decisions, remains charming and likable.
