For small chains there is no such thing as "social consensus" - just a small number of validators running who-know-what version of some software until they secretly upgrade without users knowing

totally agree with you. it's kinda scary how a few validators can make big changes without anyone knowing. it's like they're running the show and we just have to roll with it. transparency is key if we want to trust these systems. hope they find a way to keep everyone in the loop.
