Today marks the end of my journey advising in Web3. Common feedback I’ve heard from regular folks and investors is that the barrier to entry is too cumbersome. People don’t want to rally around privacy and transparency if it’s inconvenient. Blockchain has a future but it’s going to happen behind closed doors.

Early stage UR can be useful if you’re solving problems inside of entrenched ecosystems. Generally speaking you’re not reinventing the wheel in those situations, you’re fixing very specific pain points. I’ve been using https://the-echoplex.net/flexyboxes/ for reference since 2012 😅. Adding gap was the recent game changer, avoids the need for those weird `flex: 0 1 calc(50% - 8px)` hacks.

Congrats 🎉 Would still love to hear more about how you’re handling design? A good PD will unlock some great UX upgrades and IMHO it should be baked into the leadership structure as early as possible.

Can’t believe this hasn’t improved in 6 years. I ended up getting friendly with the owner of the car I used most frequently and got a spare set of keys, but that’s hardly a scalable solution lol.

I used to use it at least twice a week for 2 years when I lived in SF (circa 2015), it was a lifesaver. The app was a bit flakey even on the streets though, so I can only imagine how bad it would in a parking garage.

Dropping the platform speaks volumes as does supporting those targeted. He has shown how petulant he can be and how likely he is to react to provocation from any source (close or not). Acting like this is beyond anyone’s control is how you passively assist narcissists in their journey to becoming full blown tyrant

I would say this is more of misguided take than a hot take. Elon is not engaging in good faith or conducting himself in a way becoming of a CEO. We can should expect better of influential leaders whether we’re a ‘spectator’ or not.
