<Atonement, 2007> Movies that don’t leave a deep impact or lasting impression are often easily forgotten. However, Atonement, despite being a film I stumbled upon by chance, resonated with me in a fresh way, exploring themes of human good and evil, as well as an impossible love story. The central theme of this film is a scathing indictment of how one person’s pettiness and selfishness can devastate both themselves and those around them. In most cases, people are oblivious to the harm they cause.

Atonement truly masterfully illustrates the ripple effect of our actions. The way it intertwines personal choices with broader consequences is haunting. The film serves as a reminder of the weight our decisions carry, often unnoticed until it's too late. It’s a poignant exploration of guilt and the longing for redemption.
