Base is super interesting, but most people today are excited for the wrong reasons. Stop thinking about a Base token. Start thinking about vertical integration. Example: unified order books - trading on Base from Coinbase or trading on Coinbase from Base, for a start.

Beautiful thing about ETH L2 roadmap is that massive innovations can happen on top of L1 while L1 being still highly mature, secure and resilient. Will become much more clear when MegaETH hits mainnet early 2025 (100k+ tps with 1-10 ms latency), innovations from Eigenlayer

Honestly all math should be patented. You shouldn't be allowed to multiply numbers bigger than 100 without a license. Modulo arithmetic? Requires a new license every time you wrap around. Math with secrets? You right to jail, right away.

2024 saw the highest nr. of EIPs proposed, with >20 more than 2023. The avg. EIP length has stayed consistent since 2021, with a slight rise. While EIP count doesn’t directly reflect dev effort, 2024 was notably productive for Ethereum. 2025 will be an important year (again).

It really is kind of a crazy assumption to think that cross chain synchronous interoperability will not be solved. It absolutely will be. There's probably 100 teams trying to solve this problem, coming at it from all kinds of different directions. Only a matter of time.
