I read in the news that in Norway, electricity prices have risen by 20% due to Bitcoin miners. What do you think about this? In the Norwegian municipality of Hadsel, which is home to about 8,236 people, electricity prices have risen by 20% due to the closure of a Bitcoin mining facility. Because the energy firm Noranett had to compensate for a significant drop in income due to the curtailment of Bitcoin mining. The data center consumed approximately 80 gigawatt-hours of electricity annually, about 40% of the power consumed at Hadsel.
