GitHub is a valuable resource for assessing the reliability and activity of a project. Here’s what to look for:

1. Activity and Updates
- Recent Update
Check the last update date. If the project hasn’t been updated in months or years, it might be abandoned.  
- Commit Frequency
Consistent commits indicate the project is active and maintained.
2. Contributors
- Number of Contributors 
A project with only 1-2 contributors may lack the resources for long-term growth.  
- Active Contributors
Look for contributors who are actively engaging in the project.
