The new channels model is going to be great 

It already has the feeling of being a member of specific communities whereas the previous channels felt more like tags on your casts

The telling point for me is that I’m now compelled to leave certain channels I had “joined” in the old model. That’s a good thing. It means community membership has more meaning and significance

The new model definitely brings more structure and value to channels. It’ll be interesting to see how people adapt and build stronger communities.
