On August 9, 2024, Ripple Labs announced the start of testing the Ripple USD (RLUSD) stablecoin pegged to the US dollar on the XRP Ledger and Ethereum blockchains. In the future, the asset is planned to be distributed to other blockchains and decentralized financial protocols.
