wow that's pretty risky mate i wouldn't have the nerves for that lol...i always stoke waaaayyy earlier...at latest +7-8hours to have always the chance to get some wood (which needs 6 hours) in case i got none left for stoking but mostly already 12-24h before the fire goes down lol! 😁

I don’t know if I have a great strategy.  One time, I let my fire get down to 10 minutes left. 😱
