4 years ago i would've told ya the same, but in reverse. Republicans didn't know how to cope last election. Dems dont know how to cope this time. Both can be true. Both sides are hypocrites imo. I am independent, no party affiliation 🤷🏻‍♂️

same here brother but the reaction so far has been gross. Had to watch family GCs get napalmed, friends social pages, etc all day yesterday. It’s like as soon as he won it was green light to spew vile nonsense on anyone in earshot. I would think your candidate winning would make you happy

I personally agree, but -I think a lot of ppl didn't like being called garbage, unamerican, stupid, nazis, etc and this is a somewhat expected lash out. -this is an issue on both sides imo. I can't tell my own brother or best friends (brooklyn ppl) how i voted bc i don't know how they'll react We're all too divided rn and there's a lot of hurt and blame on both sides and a lot of healing to do. Conversations like this are the start, simply bc we can talk and disagree and not yell and block and stuff. We all have more in common than we dont and it's ok to have different opinions and priorities. One person thinks protecting their daughter is w abortion rights, the other protects against men in women's sports and locker rooms. Both doing what they think is best for their kids. I can't say i appreciated your initial retort, seemed uncalled for, but I'm happy we chatted bc it seems like you thought i was attacking you and i didn't mean to. Hope ya dont block me now 😂🤷🏻‍♂️🤝🫶

I think this (and pic below) is actually true and a good lesson for the dem party. The pendulum always swing back harder and there is little to zero chance the divide will lessen if they want to win another election. Having calm discussions about our differences will be a thing of the past. My retort wasn’t meant to disparage, i honestly wasn’t sure if you were saying “cope” in earnest or jest but my point remains that the irony is thick. What you will not see from dems is gigantic noose and angry mob storm a government office to try and overthrow democracy. You may see some used couches end up on the Whitehouse lawn lol

My initial comment actually wasn't towards you, but towards the people you had showed the tweets from. I obviously misunderstood what you were trying to get across, my bad. I agree the J6 stuff was gross. But, to play devil's advocate, the left is extremely violent and destructive in their protests, WAY more than the right. BLM caused billions in damage. Antisemitism on leftist campuses and cities is through the roof. The open border has caused so much harm. Crime is way up. Lots of grossness on both sides. I am not sure I fully follow that person's thread, but, as the old saying goes, "the enemy of my enemy is my friend". We just need to stop looking at each other as enemies. I think the left media is especially bad at widening the divide -- the rhetoric they use is just...awful. The most important thing imo is that we don't all fall into echo chambers and we can keep talking. Bc you can usually find some common ground and understanding when that happens. So thank you.

those riots had nothing to do with coping from an election so this is a misleading whataboutism as it pertains to my original point of “cope” and while I agree we should look to have these conversations they will be disappearing altogether at this rate
