complaints seem to come down to the subjectivity of rules 

hard situation, made harder by the reality of it being pretty much impossible to judge the "quality" of tipping at scale now that DEGEN is so big it attracts bad actors to every airdrop season

I continue to think the solution is raising the bar to who gets to receive tips

do it with tasks

make the tasks accessible and open for anyone to do, but make them reasonably difficult

make them related to promoting DEGEN 

and the people who do them are whitelisted for tips

and the few that put in the effort? they deserve to be rewarded more for going above and beyond

You need people to buy the token. If you lower sell pressure via lower emissions but then lower buy pressure even more, what did you gain? The tip game IS the buy pressure. And he's actually increased the sell pressure bc id guess most ppl who got banned and many who didn't will withdraw from vault and sell. Plus theres ppl like me who would've staked their claim tomorrow but now I'll be selling it. Imo (im no numbers guy) i think this will accomplish the opposite of what you intend. But I'm usually wrong so that bodes well for u

memes can only go on for so long. the tip game was the utility behind the meme. 
i agree it needed changing, but jacek went too far here. he's blaming people for farming, when the reality is he set the emissions to high.
he's blaming people for mcdegen, but he endorsed it
he's blaming people for "cheating" when it was his fault for having a bug in the allowance formula
he's blaming people for tipping each other, when they followed the written rules he provided
he's telling people to market degen, when really that's his job.
there was a way to accomplish all/most of this without burning the house to the ground.
ex: ban/limit mcdegen going fwd. ban blatant farmers. reduce emissions by 1 mil per season for the next few seasons so it's not such a shock to people.

DEGEN had it's biggest run when it was a pure memecoin and holding DEGEN had nothing to do with your tipping allowance

ever since the staking system has been introduced it's been ruthlessly farmed, it obviously has brought in the wrong type of buyers even if it has brought in some buyers

better to rip the band aid and start fresh, expecting the coin value to go up because people are buying the coin to give themselves more of the coin is economics that will never work
