Oh my God, the story of the little match girl on a cold winter night, alone and abandoned, is one of the saddest stories I watched as a cartoon in my childhood. With each match she lit, a flicker of hope extinguished, and ultimately, in her loneliness and cold, the girl passed away. I have always wished I had never seen that cartoon at that time because its emotional and psychological impact stayed with me for years.
