i am exploring pgvec and pgml, pinecone felt too limited in query capability for semantic search but its fast. sqlitevec is also great for testing/local/memory

populating queries with a specific model or size of embedding would be great from pgai will have to look into what size they are. with a little juicer context the 1536 small openai embeddings were solid
