is perhaps one of the most interesting festivals in Japan. The most exciting Danjiri Matsuri festivals are held in Osaka.

During the Danjiri Festival, the city's guilds pull ornately carved wooden carts through the city streets.🇯🇵

For a samurai everywhere is Japan 🇯🇵

This is accompanied by joyful shouts and playing drums and bells. The Danjiri Festival in the Osaka city of Kishiwada involves 35 teams pushing their carts through narrow and winding streets at incredibly high speeds while guild leaders dance on the carts.🇯🇵

Some carts are so huge that they can be pulled by up to 500 people. The elaborate procession through the city, involving local residents of all ages, is designed to demonstrate the strength, resilience and cohesion of communities.
