perhaps it is against the ethos but it is 100% possible for them to implement a feature that allowed me to restrict someone’s ability to respond to my posts

That makes sense. There should be a way to prevent someone from following you or replying to you. They'll always be able to see your casts, though.

i don’t care if they can see my posts, you can do that on twitter with an alt

i care about their ability to interact with my posts

@tomato.eth is right, blocking is trivial to implement in a centralized app, but very hard if not impossible in decentralized systems.

You can’t trivially block someone from linking to your website or sending you an email. It’s just your apps that filter it out before you see it. 

FC works roughly the same.
