a bit about a process i’ve been experimenting with it since September tldr layering different interpolations of the tiny pixelated image to give the illusion of 3 dimensions left is the initial interpolation from Twitter, and right is after heavy layering - the differences in how each algorithm handles pixel interpolation leads to some really interesting shading and geometry even though i am just stacking 2d blurry images on top of each other. the weaving effect is purely from using difference/exclusion blend modes. all of this from a simple 16x16 grid of black and white pixels, with very little human intervention other than deciding on blend modes and which frames to include
