Let's calmly reflect on this. Some people saw their first-week rewards, which they thought were final, decrease by 10% to 60%, even when including the second-week rewards. Sure, they expected to own more Quil with the added second-week rewards, but the loss is significant. However, normal miners who received nothing in the first week saw their rewards increase by 2 to 4 times on average through redistribution. This part is fair. But the redistributed Quil was mostly taken by crappy VPSs. I also participated in the second week with 50 poor VPSs, each with 10 instances across 5 hosts, and each VPS was allocated 400 Quil. Additionally, my 9554 machine, which only participated for one day in the second week, received 1600 Quil. This was much more and more efficient than the nodes that participated fully for two weeks.

Cass had two weeks to update the rewards page, and although the reward calculation method is quite puzzling, she said the current results are her attempt to be as fair as possible. We can't blindly blame her. After announcing the results, they recognized the issues and opened a vote. There's nothing more we can do. If the dramatic increase in emissions proposed as an alternative were to give everyone the existing rewards, it wouldn't be good for me in the long run. I just accept the victory of crappy VPSs in version 18 and hope that the increase in increment in version 19 will progress as expected and improve the rewards.
