The total supply of Bitcoin is 21 million BTC. This is hardcoded into Bitcoin’s protocol and ensures scarcity, making Bitcoin a deflationary asset. As of now, most of the supply has already been mined, with the last Bitcoin expected to be mined around the year 2140 due to the halving events that reduce mining rewards approximately every four years.
