We're starting to think about a new sync model for Farcaster. 

The current system works but is unlikely to scale up another 10x. Here's our articulation of the problem we want to go after.

It's very exciting to see where Farcaster goes from here. 

Need a better sync/consensus system, one that may one day enable optional sharding of the state perhaps?

Can DAG based consensus help? They scale super well. What can you do without stake/points scores?

Whatever happens, FC will likely set the bar.
