Humphrey Davy, who is somewhat forgotten today, was a pioneer in many fields and gave us many inventions and discoveries. He won the Nobel Prize in 1812 for his contributions to science and humanity. After finishing high school, he started his studies in medicine and later switched to chemistry and electrochemistry. He is best known for the discovery of sodium, potassium and calcium using electrolysis
