Base layer 2 network crossed the $10 billion mark of locked value

 Amid the increased activity in the digital currency market, the Bae network also saw a resurgence. Total Locked Value (TVL) of the base rose more than 5% last week, surpassing the $10 billion mark for the first time, L2Beat data shows.

Since September, when the network's TVL dropped below $6 billion, it has grown more than 67%. This achievement makes Base the second Ethereum Layer 2 network with a TVL of more than $10 billion after Arbitrum. Also, Base achieved a transaction speed record of 106.26 transactions per second on November 24. 

 The total number of base chain transactions also exceeded 9 million and the number of weekly active addresses approached 6.6 million, indicating increased user participation and wider adoption.
