Not with gas. When done with refunds this pattern resulted in gastoken, which the core devs deliberately nerfed with changes in the refund mechanism. A direct ether/token payment to the contract CALLER is how it would need to be done.

Proof of work is the only fully permissionless consensus protocol, if everyone follows all the rules. Proof of stake is close, but someone has to invite you by giving you the tokens to stake. A 100% closed token owner cartel can follow all the rules and close out permissionless entry.

We need to be sure we don't recreate Reddit Gold (rest in peace) on farcaster. Since it's reader to caster it has significant differences, but the moment it becomes taxed by the platform it will gain the same problems.

Porting a project over from a SVN host (now defunct... the host not SVN). It was a desktop Java ruby-on-rails style framework. Things went _awesome_ when the growth of iPhone and Android hit full stride. (translation: mobile utterly killed the bulk of the desktop application market)
