I love how the Warpcast devs' response to feedback is usually just justifying why their approach is the best, and everyone else is wrong.

i keep telling my friends that "farcaster is not just for crypto bros, there's spaces for food, art, politics, you can just use it and never even have to think about crypto" then notifications about memecoins get sprayed all over the place and i honestly don't feel comfortable inviting non-crypto people here anymore

on the one hand i kinda get trying to capture some of the solana pump fun audience, and maybe the strategy is "hey it's going to be token noisy for a few months as we try to get more of those people here" but i truly hope that's not the long-term vibe we're going for. i'm all for building the "farcaster economy" but i don't think an ideal version of that looks like a feed of people buying/selling random tokens (even if that's something that happens indirectly or in the background and there's special feeds for it, it's not something i think should be the primary content itself)

I'd be more down with crypto features if there was just a way to reliably opt out of it all in a persistent way. (and not a "you can disable them if you don't like them" kinda way. But a "I'm not a crypto bro and I don't want to see token alerts, airdrop stuff, niche developer culture in my For You page, etc.) Farcaster needs a normie mode. And ffs it seems to need a regen mode from what I can see. At least a couple folks on my friends list have talked about leaving FC this past week, and soooooo many have already. STOP CHURNING MY FRIENDS YA'LL 😭😭😭😭😭😭
