LessWrong and Slate Star Codex contain like 900 books worth of posts each. Nobody is reading that in 6 weeks.

On the other hand, books like Seeing Like a State is just the same concept repeated over and over until you're too exhausted to think critically about it.

A lot of nonfiction is like that nowadays. Like they sold a certain number of pages to a publisher and had to fill it.
