Are there any Obsidian friendly workflows for real-time collaboration? I've been dumping notes into hackmd just to pair on something, but that's not ideal.

the Obsidian team uses Obsidian to make Obsidian :) we use shared vaults via Sync, but you could also use Git. https://help.obsidian.md/Obsidian+Sync/Share+remote+vaults more collaboration improvements are on our roadmap

By real-time I mean in the multiple cursors typing at the same time sense. Also I do use Sync too, but I don't want to share a whole vault with random friends just to help me edit a blog post or something.

yeah multiple cursors is on our radar, but we want to do it in a way that completely preserves the privacy model of Obsidian, we have ideas 😊
