If $SOL flips $BTC, will that change your mind about anything? If so, what?

If anything flips BTC it will mean crypto has crossed the event horizon.

SOL is a better version of NASDAQ. That's cool, it's something definitely needed by a lot of people, but not something I'm particularly interested in. 

It's a very different space than what BTC or ETH is trying to build. Lots of people want to gamble with BTC or ETH as if they're competitors to SOL. Your scenario would be disappointing, but not especially surprising. FinTech extracts value from society, and it's very good at that. There is more interesting tech to build though.
