Do you worry that all of these things are hardcoding the warcast.com domain everywhere? Would it make sense to use something neutral like farcaster.com and let apps register handlers against it?

How do the various mastodon apps hook into the various mastodon instances for deep linking?

Also isn't there a trick where you detect mobile and redirect to a scheme:// which can get picked up by any app?

I honestly don't know how iOS does it but Android gives you a choice until you set a default, then removes the default if a new app registers it so you get the choice again.

How do you resolve conflicts? I'm pretty sure it's last in.

So if I have a primary app A and I test out a new app, B, new app B now automatically opens and as a normal user I'm frustrated because I don't know why.
